Preparation
A journey truly begins when we have finally taken that leap of faith, making the commitment to go for it! Our minds start to imagine the breathtaking beauty that will stir our souls, and the strangers of distant lands we will bond with, and we even begin to anticipate the excitement and new joys that our heart will experience.  We are already on our way.

2011 Package Rates
(Rates quoted do not include airfare.) The rate for this journey starts at $4500 US double occupancy for the Moon Package and $5300 double US for the Sun package (includes the upgrade to the one-of-a-kind InkaTerra Hotel in Machu Picchu).

Includes
This rate includes your buses, trains, tours, tour guides, retreat lectures, meditation workshops, ceremonies, all of your breakfasts, and one dinner celebration meal. Once you have booked and have sent your deposit, Vera Lopez will help you with booking the recommended flights from home to Lima and Lima to Cusco.

Meet your fellow Journeyers
That said, once you have decided to join our group of 30, you will have the opportunity to join our blog and meet up with some of your future travel partners ahead of time. Perhaps some of you will even be looking for a roommate and will be able to scout out another doing the same.

Hotels
The hotels we are staying in are not the focus for this trip, however we have given you the option to treat yourself for four days in the renowned five star hotel called Inkaterra, an exquisite villa jungle retreat while staying in Machu Picchu. You will immerse yourself in the spirit of Royal Inca retreat at Inkaterra’s boutique hotel — an Andean Garden of Eden where waterfalls and streams gently cascade through acres of orchids. Hummingbirds frolic in a private cloud forest paradise, while you experience authentic barefoot luxury at the foot of Machu Picchu, within an idyllic enclave of whitewashed casitas. You can even book their sweat lodge along with the river cold plunge pool!

May 12, International flight to Lima: Enjoy the flight and sweet anticipation! In Lima, a Spirits of the Earth representative will be greeting you at the airport, escorting you to your hotel. Welcome to Peru!
 
May 13, Lima City Tour: More than 400 years ago, the Spanish conqueror ("conquistador") Francisco Pizarro named Lima the City of the Kings ("Ciudad de los Reyes".Today, that same city, which rose from the lands of the native chief  Taulischusco, is a city of over 7 million people who proudly preserve  the colonial convents and mansions which are symbols of their ancient and noble traditions. After breakfast our Lima exploration will  begin at historical Plaza de Armas, home of Government’s Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace and City Hall. Afterwards we visit the Gold Museum. Peruvian people used to work the metal in  aspectacularway. The procedure called "cire perdue" (lost wax) which  was well known in the East but it disappeared in the West in Renaissance time. This procedure was the most commonly used by the Peruvian goldsmiths.  Our excursion to the Gold Museum can allow us to appreciate an excellent collection of gold pieces from different  Peruvian  Cultures;  some of these pieces are more than 3000 years old.  In this museum you will see valuable objects and jewelry of great worth, which where worked in Gold, Silver and with stunning  types of stones. This jewelry was used by the most important people of the Inca's time, who were the son of the Sun and monarchs of this  Empire. Return to hotel – free afternoon, enjoying fun shopping in Lima.

May 14 Lima/Cusco/Sacred Valley: After breakfast transfer to airport to join the rest of the group that traveled overnight to Lima, so together every one takes the same flight to Cusco.

Payment Terms and Conditions: $1000 deposit due along with signed Terms & Conditions which will be emailed to you upon Spirits of the Earth receiving confirmation of your expressed interest to join this journey. 50% of the total is due 90 days prior to departure date. Balance due 60 days prior to departure.Travelers will require proof of Travel Health Insurance coverage prior to 60 days from departure date.
