"The food was a 10 - fantastic beautiful photos made my mouth water and really enhanced the experience as otherwise one would not expect healthy food to look that tasty. I must admit that I am one of those who cannot seem to follow a diet exactly or prepare each meal as shown, but I did not give up as I usually do. I referred to the food shopping list and was able to make recipes or alter the recipes I enjoyed. Food and fitness were an obvious 10, but I found the soul and life elements to be very motivational and an integral part of the cleanse process - 10 also. "A week at the Grail in May started me on a healthy path and now the cleanse has given me the tools I need to continue on. I am trying to stick with buying the foods on Moira's food list and when I tried the old bad foods (anything with sugar or wheat), I sure felt the difference. "Dear Madeleine & Barb, Thank you! I wish to express my gratitude to the two of you for being a great catalyst for change. My life has changed dramatically in the last few months, starting from the trip to Peru and now with the cleanse. I started the food portion of the cleanse a week before the official start and I never did the full 5 day liquid section. I created a lot of my own recipes & also tried and loved the ones you provided. I also just walked a lot during the cleanse and never did any strenuous exercise. So here is a testament that even if you don’t follow the program exactly, miracles still happen. "I am feeling amazing. Many insights in other areas of my life unflowered, a connection with a step on my path unfolded. I am for the most part fallen in love with the mantra. Just came back from Vancouver and walked and walked and walked along the beach.... noticed that after some hills, I wasn't dying.. :) yeah... Am I in top shape... heck no, not yet, but so much has been opened and revealed. I am very grateful.I LOVED the recipes.... people cannot believe I talk about food all the time now, cause I am known in my circle as the 'decorator' because heck the food thing wasn't connecting for me. But I am hooked on learning more... I've made many many changes, smoothies for 95% breakfasts... Yeah! lunches ... sometimes soups, if I'm prepared, and dinners soups and that part I'm still working on. The problem is I'm not allways hungry, so sometimes it's just two meals a day with a few snacks. But I'm aware that I'm needing to put time in for preparation which I am 80% of the time. "Life has changed in a number of ways. We are all eating more veggies at our house. I have been making more dinners at home and we are eating out less. My 7 year old son now prefers his smoothies with fresh greens in them (bring on the spinach!). This surprised me the most. I am eating MUCH healthier when I travel and have come to love vega in the morning (never thought that would happen…) Am doing better at getting exercise in. I need to continue to work on this. "I just wanted to check in and tell you how I am doing. FANTASTIC. Going to Grail Springs pre-op and doing the 21 days cleanse post-op has been extremely rewarding. I was able to go into surgery with the right frame of mind, and I now feel I am doing something positive for my body, my mind and my soul. I find the recipes easy to follow, all the ingredients are readily available, and the finished products tasty and filling. My favorite so far is Rainbow rice and beans and the Apple Butternut squash...both perfect to pack for lunches.
