Come and experience a flowing sequence of core-based exercises that will teach your body to move with ease and efficiency. Improve your strength, flexibility, posture and balance. Develop a self-awareness of functional movement in your every-day life, and recreational activities. Enjoy a relaxing yet energizing workout.

Joseph Pilates devised a series of exercises in his native Germany, which were then brought to North America when he immigrated to New York in the 1920’s. Originally developed to assist dancers with body alignment, and the repair of muscle injuries, the work has evolved into a contemporary form which can be embraced by all, from 9 to 90!

This group experience is suitable for all fitness levels, from novice to advanced, and incorporates elements from a variety of disciplines, such as yoga, tai chi, strength training, and balance work.

After participating in these sessions, you will feel lengthened and strengthened! We will learn to use effective breathing techniques, to engage the core to stabilize our bodies, and to enjoy a more natural ease of movement. You will begin to develop a self-awareness of good postural habits, and to experience a whole-body sense of well-being. Pilates truly is “movement for life!”

Earth Hour Special Evening Presentation: Saturday March, 31st, 7:30 to 9:30pm ~ This Earth Day come and celebrate all the worlds of Grandmother Earth, plants, minerals, animals, humans and ancestor spirits. Through ancient earth medicine learn about your connection to all your relations and join us for a meditation to honor these sacred relationships. The Thundering Dawn Drummers will help us awaken our voices and hearts through song and chant.

Bonnie Tepperman is a former teacher of music and movement who has been enthralled by the practice of Pilates for the past fifteen years! She became a certified advanced Pilates mat specialist through the Body Harmonics Pilates teacher training program in Toronto in 2005.
Bonnie currently works for Goodlife Fitness, where she teaches Pilates fusion classes as part of the group exercise program.

Jody Raven is a healer and teacher. She has spent the last 18 years working with women impacted by trauma. Jody practices Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which uses body sensation and movement for healing.  Jody uses her living practice of mindful presence to create a dynamic space for healing and expansion.
