August 10th to 12th
With a special guest facilitator Carolynn Rohsler, Ashtanga Yoga Instructor!
This weekend is the perfect time to kick start the body, mind & Spirit with a few days spent with Mother Nature. Enjoy a special Horse Widsom class with Horse Whisperer Richard Capener and Ashtanga Yoga with the lovely Carolynn Rohsler.
Ashtanga (in Sanskrit means eight limbed) Yoga is a traditional form of yoga from India. Popularized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois with the Mysore practice in his hometown of Myslore, India. The Ashtanga practice is best know for it’s “power flow” in the sense that the practioner keeps a steady breath throughout all movements; “Vinyasa”. The “Ujjayi” breath creates intense internal heat and with sweat detoxifies muscles and organs.
Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement. The breath is the heart of this practice and links posture to posture, which produces intense internal heat. This heat purifies by expelling toxins.
There are 3 groups of sequences in Ashtanga Yoga; the Primary Series detoxifies and aligns the body, the Secondary Series purifies the nervous system by opening and clearing the energy channels and the Third Series integrate the strength and grace of the practice, requiring higher levels of flexibility and humility.
In this weekend workshop we will explore the Vinyasa and go through some postures of the primary series. The constant flow of breath is relaxing and teaches us to flow though movement.

“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
~ Abe Lincoln

Bio: With many years of competitive swimming and gym days under her belt, Carolynn had her first introduction to yoga a little over 8 years ago. Through attending several classes taught by a variety of teachers and studios, Carolynn’s love for yoga flourished. With struggles of weight loss and an overly stressed lifestyle, she quickly understood the impact a regular yoga practice had on her life. This created a thirst for more knowledge and a deeper practice. Carolynn has completed an Ashtanga teacher training and is currently a student in holistic nutrition.
Carolynn believes that a yoga class is an experience as a whole; from the smile you receive as you walk into class, to the beads of sweat on your brow, to the quiet mind in Shavasana. All you need to do is bring yourself to class and Carolynn will help you enjoy your experience.
Private one-on-one session are available with Carolynn focusing on movement through yoga postures with a proper breathing technique. 90 minutes $125
