TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS & DIRECTIONS
Driving Instructions
Approximately 2 1/2 drive from Toronto or Ottawa
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Belleville or Peterborough
Directions from Toronto Take Hwy #401 East (15 minutes past Oshawa) to Hwy #115/#35 North. Follow Hwy #115 for 30 minutes to where it ends at a set of lights. Go straight through the lights. You are now travelling on Television Road. Proceed for 5 minutes until you come to the first stop sign and turn right on County Road #4 (gas station on your right). Travel for approximately 5 minutes until you come to a flashing light. Turn left and follow this route for 5 minutes until it ends at at T-intersection. Turn right on Hwy #28 North and follow to the town of Bancroft. Just before the town bridge, turn right on Hwy #62 South and follow this for 2 kms. Turn right on Bay Lake Road (opposite Ronan Building store) and follow for 2 kms.
(Note - Do not take Hwy #401 to Belleville to Hwy #62 North. This route is deceptive when looking on a map and takes almost an hour longer.)
Scenic Route from Ottawa This is one of the most scenic routes in all of Ontario though not recommended during winter months. Take Hwy #417 West from the city which turns into Hwy #17 West. Take Hwy #132 South to Renfrew. Proceed through Dacre and then take Hwy #41 South to Denbigh. Then take Hwy #28 to Bancroft. Once in Bancroft, take Hwy #62 South and follow this for 2 kms to Bay Lake Road. Follow Bay Lake Road for 2 kms and you've arrived at Grail Springs.
Alternative Route from Ottawa Take Hwy #7 West to Madoc. Then take Hwy #62 north towards Bancroft. Just before you get to Bancroft, you will turn left onto Bay Lake Road. Special note - DO NOT take the first entrance into Bay Lake Road, but rather the second entrance which is 5 minutes north of the first entrance. Look for the blue Ontario Tourism marker signs just before this turn-off which will read 'Grail Springs Spa'.
FREE Private Limo service direct to Grail Springs is available at no extra charge each Sunday when you book a 5~night or more program package. Shuttle picks up at 2pm each Sunday at the Toronto International Airport. Shuttle departs Grail Springs for the airport each Sunday at 10:30am.
Shuttle on any other day
Cost is approximately $230 for a private limo plus 5% gst. We are happy to make arrangements for you. You may pay the limo company directly.
Coach Canada Shuttle Service
Cost is approximately $97 pp plus gst to Peterborough paid directly to Coach Canada. Grail Springs can make these arrangements for you. Grail Springs will arrange to pick you up from Peterborough at a cost of $75 pp plus 5% gst which can be charged to your room account. Please book your seat with our Reservation Desk giving 24 hours notice if possible.
Arrival times
To ensure your seat on the free shuttle make sure your flight arrives no later than 1:00pm EST. Please note that the shuttle cannot guarantee pick up for delayed flights after 2pm. If the driver agrees to wait for a delayed plane, there will be a cost to the client of $25 for half hour.
Departure times
DEPARTURES - To ensure you catch your flight on time it is suggested that your departure flight leaves no earlier than 3:30pm EST to allow for check-in, security and customs.

By Car
The journey from Toronto or Ottawa to Grail Springs takes approximately 2.5 hours and is quite simple (see directions below).
By Greyhound Bus
We offer complimentary pick up from the Greyhound bus depot located in Bancroft.
By Train
Take the Train from anywhere in Canada to Belleville Station ~ VIA Rail conveniently stops at Belleville Station, a 1 hour drive to the Spa. Arrangements can be made for a taxi service to pick you up there. For schedule and ticket costs visit www.viarail.ca
By Private Plane
Peterborough airport accepts most private planes, located one hour from Grail Springs. Pick up from this airport can be arranged for $75 pp plus 5% gst.
